AUGUST 24 - 28 | VIRTUAL WEEK
The Annual 2020 was one of the biggest and most interactive investment industry conferences, overcoming the massive impact of Covid-19 on how the investment industry operates and does business.
During the week, we welcomed over 1,000 delegates, including nearly 550 investors and consultants, with an astounding $5.5tn of assets in the virtual room. There was some great content provided across the panel discussions and individual presentations, notably David Villa’s thought-provoking keynote address on Tuesday and Monday’s panel on artificial intelligence in asset management.
Through our detailed matching process, we were able to arrange over 1,000 introductory meetings between investors and managers. By working directly with investors and consultants to agree these meetings with relevant, properly briefed managers ahead of time, we were able to ensure a high completion rate and feedback from investors has been overwhelmingly positive.
2020's Focus
2020’s conference was focused on capital preservation and gaining an understanding of the long-term impact of COVID-19 on the investment landscape. Experts shared their insights on identifying drawdown risks and how to recognize the economic tremors created from this pandemic, as well as discussing various structural transformations and key reward drivers that will be beneficial for long-term fiscal sustainability.
In addition we there was a focus on climate change and technological innovation which will both continue to have a transformational impact not only on markets and investments, but on every aspect of our lives.
